Installing and Taking backup of a Comodo Code Sign Certificate

Step 1: You get an email with link to the code sign cert, click on the link.
The email reads some thing like this:------------>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Your Code Signing Certificate is ready! 

Dear <your name>
Thank you for placing your order. The necessary background checks have been successfully completed and we are pleased to announce that your Code Signing Certificate has been issued.

To collect your Code Signing Certificate, please click here <- Hyper link takes you to the Comodo secure page.

Your Collection Code is: Ywpxxxxxxxxxxxxs

Should you have any questions or issues you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Step 2: Enter the verification code in the text box provided. (If the code is already entered, just leave it as is)
Step 3: You will get (Success) prompt, once the certificate is installed successfully.

If this message comes, you have successfully installed the certificate.

The next step is to backup the certificate files. Refer to the following link:

You will be prompted to supply the password that you had used for Key file when you were requesting the certificate. Keep the key handy.


You need to install the certificate by going to Content section and choosing appropriate button to install the user.cert file Uuse option to import). The you need to use Export option to export the .pix file to safe location on your computer.
Now you can give it to your programmers by means of Export option.
or simply copying and pasting the .pix file on their computer.
