CompTIA Security+Exam Details:

Security+ is offered by CompTIA, and one of the leading entry level security certification in IT field. Other organizations that offer computer/network related security certifications are CheckPoint, Microsoft, and Cisco.

CompTIA Security+ is intended to address the rise of security issues and to keep information safe from network security breaches. CompTIA Security+ tests the foundational knowledge of security professionals in areas like systems security, network infrastructure, access control, assessments and audits, cryptography and organizational security.

The CompTIA Security+ (2008 Edition) Certification is aimed at an IT security professional who has:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in network administration with a focus on security
- Day to day technical information security experience
