An intensive but interesting discussion about the outcome of FTC and senate hearing is going on here webmasterworld.com/goog/4365772.htm Anybody watched Eric's testimony? The overall opinion in WW has been negative about Google.

Some excepts are given below:
Google: Google was built for users, not websites, and Google doesn?t ?owe? traffic to any website any more than the Drudge Report ?owes? links to the New York Times or the Washington Post.
Donna (WW): This just gets me sick to my stomach. THE ARROGANCE AND IGNORANCE.
Google?s advertising prices are set by advertisers themselves, who bid what they?re willing to pay per click, and Google places no restrictions on advertisers moving their own ad campaign data to other platforms.
Advertisers set their own PPC rates. However Google may decide to have a lower cut-off mark.

superclown2(WW): Google was given several chances at the Congressional Hearing to offer to clean up their act. All these chances were spurned.....This could be the biggest corporate disaster in history if it is not handled properly.
Probably true, but only time will decide.

Dave_Hybrid (WW): Watch the video, 3 hours but worth it's weight in gold over these snippets.
