CompTIA A+ Certification ensures that the person has knowledge of IT fundamentals. A+ exam is targeted for computer service technicians with 9 to 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or field. CompTIA A+ 220–1001 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting. One needs to pass A+ Core1 exam (220–1001), and A+ Core2 (220–1002).

In most cases, hiring managers prefer who got certified in the CompTIA A+ exams because they don't need any basic training. IT companies of all sizes prefer candidates who can join and start delivering immediately. CompTIA A+ certified candidates get considered for the job roles like IT support specialists, computer technicians, etc. because of their crystal-clear IT fundamentals.

You need to take 90 questions in the exam which includes different types of questions like multiple choices, and performance-based questions. You are allowed to take the exam within 90 minutes and the passing score is 675 (on a scale of 100–900).
