As per the news item, Amazon is set to record its biggest annual loss of about 40million USA during the year 2014, and the stock price is down by about 28% during the year. It's no surprise, and those who are aware of the company's rise to the top are certain about it's decline sooner or later. Amazon has climbed to the top with thousands of affiliates advertizing their (Amazon's) products on their web pages for the affiliate commission which Amazon used to pay promptly. Over a period of time, the commissions paid by Amazon have dwindled and become negligible, prompting the affiliates to remove or to switch to other means of advertising. Amazon had in fact went to the extent of saying that it had hardly benefited from affiliate sales, which is utterly wrong. It may be reasonably expected that Amazon share prices come down further during coming years before settling, driven by market forces.
